Our Founder
Francis Ssuubi Biography

Francis Ssuubi is the Founder of Wells of Hope, a comprehensive organisation that provides effective and compassionate programs for prisoners and their families in Uganda, with great attention being given to children with parents on death row.

Francis Ssuubi is the Global Ambassador of The International Coalition for Children with
Incarcerated Parents (INCCIP) a concerted effort that strives to strengthen global relationships
of devoted organizations, institutions, individuals, and students working on issues relating to
children with incarcerated parents.

Francis has many years of experience working with Children of Prisoners since 2002 and as a
speaker, he delivers a stimulating, passionate, and insightful presentation on these
marginalised and neglected group of children.

Francis Ssuubi also believes that the death penalty is pre meditated murder and does not make
sense, because many times it’s the children of the people on death row or executed who end
being slain at the altar of the death sentence.
Francis Ssuubi believes that since issues affecting children of prisoners are transnational, there
is a need for stakeholders world over to work together to tackle this issue.
